Czechoslovakia, sailplane
The L-13 Blanik is a 2-seater Czech sailplane built of aluminium. It has remained unchanged since early in 1956. Over 1200 of them have been supplied to 36 different countries. Owing to its solid construction, versatility and good performance and flying qualities, it has been used extensively as a training plane and at aviation contests.
The Museum's Blanik, LN-GGS, was purchased by the Airforce and used by Norsk Aero Klubb to promote interest in aviation among young people. The Norwegian Aviation Museum has the aircraft on loan from the Defence Museum.
