At this years open day, 1509 people
experienced a living museum. We used the museum in a new way and
gave the public a unique insight into aviation history. ”Gidsken
Jakobsen “ told her story of flying. A seamstress from Kjeller
aircraft factory told us what she did. The public also had the
chance to go into some of the aircraft in the display, at the
Twin Otter, retired Widerøe pilot, Hans Wilrem told of his years
flying this aircraft.
Dancers from Bodø childrens theatre,
created a “Syden” experience with the smells, sounds and music
from the sun. An F 16 pilot from Bodø Main airstation explained
what an interception entailed and a UN veteran from Libernon ,
Odd Grinde told his story.
This year was the 10th year we arranged
the open day and we are very happy with the experience of the
Living Museum!
